All members,

Deb sent out an email yesterday to all club members explaining what our club had agreed upon at our last meeting. Our next event, HRC Hunt Test, June 1 and June 2 will soon be here. It takes a lot of hard work preparing ahead of time for these events: getting judges, ducks, paperwork, and most of all volunteers. We need all members possible at this meeting to discuss what areas that we need to get covered. We will discuss all areas it takes to hold a successful hunt test as we have done in the past. Please attend and be willing to help on June 1 and June 2. Our AKC Hunt Test went very well, and we want our HRC Hunt Test to go just as smoothly. Everyone stepped up and helped with some area that needed to be covered. I again thank everyone for helping, and I know everyone will do the same this time.

We will also clean, and sort through the clubs trailer to see if we need any items repaired.

As Deb said, we will also have some training set ups, but our main concern at this time is for our Hunt Test.

Lunch will be served (Taco Bar), just bring a chair and drinks.

If you want to volunteer in advance of the meeting for our Hunt Test please call Deb, or myself. It would be great to fill some of the areas early where we need help.

REMINDER FOR OUR TRAINING DAY ON SATURDAY 23, 9:00 A.M. THIS DAY SHOULD BE A GREAT TIME FOR ALL. BRING YOUR DOG, OR DOGS FOR AN EXCITING FUN DAY. WE WILL HAVE SET UPS FOR DOGS AT ALL LEVELS. YOU CAN COME JUST TO WATCH, HAVE A SINGLE BUMPER THROWN FOR YOUR DOG, OR RUN MULTIPLE MARKS WITH REAL DUCKS. IT WILL REALLY BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO. COME JOIN THE FUN, AND BRING A FRIEND. WE WILL START AROUND 9:00A.M. AND FINISH AROUND 12:00. HOPEFULLY THE WEATHER WILL WORK WITH US. IF IT HAS RAINED THE NIGHT BEFORE, AND RAINING SATURDAY THE DAY OF, WOULD BE THE ONLY REASON WE WOULD CANCEL DUE TO THE FIELD BEING UNABLE TO USE. WE DON’T WANT EVERYONE STUCK. 65 Highway and CC Highway, go west on CC, go past 1st stop light, continue West, look for sign on South side of CC, less than 1 mile off of 65 Highway going West on CC.

Mark your calendar for the 3rd in series of our Training/Seminar with Bud and Scott. The date is June 9, 2018. At this seminar they will be showing/teaching us Force Fetch with 1. Hold, 2. Ear Pinch, 3. Walk Fetch. Location is again at Red Label Kennels in El Dorado Springs Missouri. Start time will be at 9:30, with a break for lunch at Noon, and following with some retriever set ups to your liking. Everyone is invited. SWMORC will be having our May Training Day on May 5th at Red Label Kennel. Bud will be continuing with part 2 of his puppy seminar. This will include obedience, collar conditioning, Collar Fetch, and introduction to in-direct pressure. We will be having lunch in the lodge around noon. See ya then.
